Out Magazine OUT100 Gala
Each year OUT Magazine chooses 100 of the most compelling lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in the world to create its OUT100 list. Honorees are chosen from all walks of life, and include actors, writers, politicians, activists, sports figures and artists, among others. Some of the 2015 honorees included Barack Obama, the first sitting U.S. president ever to grace the cover of an LBGT magazine, Caitlyn Jenner, Lily Tomlin, Oscar-winner Joel Grey, “The Normal Heart” playwright Larry Kramer, and marriage equality pioneer Edie Windsor.
Garnish Media had the honor of producing both Out Magazine’s OUT100 gala at Guastavino’s in NYC and all of its video content, including two versions of a recap (one private and one public), a MassMutual co-branded docu-style portrait of Evan Wolfson, Founder and President of Freedom to Marry, digital content that was projected on giant screens during the celebration, and a video of the address made by Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to Barack Obama. The edit to Ms. Jarrett’s address was executed on-site and shared on OUT’s social media platforms before night’s end.
